Thursday 29th February 2024 marks Rare Disease Day, helping raise awareness about rare diseases, to improve access to treatment and medical representation for individuals with rare diseases and their families to ensure they get the best possible care. There are around 300million people who suffer from rare diseases, some with limited information and research as well as treatment options.

Here at Focus Birmingham, we provide numerous services, including telephone befriending service, supported living, sight loss support, complex needs support, as well as group activities such as coffee mornings and art group. These are all beneficial within the community to take any added strain away from service users.

Throughout Birmingham, there are many opportunities for volunteering, helping charities like Focus, encouraging people with disabilities, rare diseases, complex needs, and visual impairment to live life to the fullest and helping them get the help they deserve. Donations are always appreciated; they make such a difference and could be life changing to someone.

Help us make individual’s lives better!
