Step 6 of 8 : References & Screening
 

Please give the name and contact details of two people willing to provide you with a character reference. If you have worked in the last five years (either paid or voluntary), at least one reference should be obtained from your last employer. If not, please give the names of two people who know you well - but they must not be family members (including those related through marriage). We will accept referees who live abroad, providing they are English speakers and have an email address we can contact them on.

Important CRB Check
Any volunteer role at Birmingham Focus On Blindness, including administration and other office-based tasks, will bring you into regular, sometimes unsupervised contact with vulnerable adults. In order to protect both you and our service users, all volunteer applicants will need to complete an application for a Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure (police check). This will be done, with the help of the Volunteer Coordinator, as part of your interview. Birmingham Focus On Blindness adheres to the CRB code of practice.
