Harborne, Birmingham 35 per week £17,423 – £19,072 per annum

Providing specialist services to people with a visual impairment and / or multiple disabilities Focus Birmingham are looking to appoint a Transport Manager.

Responsible for a fleet of minibuses and a team of drivers and escorts the role involves co-ordinating transport for people who use our day and evening services at the Elizabeth Gunn Centre in Harborne.

In addition, the manager will support other departments such as the community team to use vehicles for events and activities and to ensure legal compliance in all areas of transport activity.

Applicants should have a number of years experience in staff supervision, budget control and resource management, combined with proven high level skills in communication, training and transport planning. Individuals with MIDAS qualifications and experience of working with those with multiple disabilities are particularly encouraged to apply.

A commitment to the organisation’s values is essential, as is the willingness to work a flexible working week (including early mornings) when necessary. Self-motivation and the ability to lead this busy team is essential.

A D1 Licence or equivalent is essential as driving is a requirement of the job.
