Hub Leader

Are you a passionate and driven person who wants to make lives better by delivering outstanding care and support to individuals with visual impairment and complex needs?

At Focus Birmingham, we exist to create opportunities for people with care and support needs to live life to the full, unlock their potential and experience fulfilling days. We are now looking to recruit an inspiring Hub Leader to play a central role in bringing this purpose to life within our day service in Harborne.

Hours: 35 per week

Days: Monday - Friday

Salary: £32,232.20 per annum

Driver

Are you a dedicated and caring Driver who wants to 'Make lives better' by providing safe and reliable transportation to individuals with complex needs?

In this role, you will be responsible for transporting clients to and from our fantastic Day Service based in Harborne. You’ll ensure that each journey is comfortable, safe, and supportive, helping individuals access the services and opportunities they need to live their lives to the fullest. Hours: 20 per week

Days: Monday - Friday (Rota)

Pay: £12.88 per hour

Casual Driver

Care Support Worker 

Are you a passionate Care Support Worker who wants to 'Make lives better' by providing high-quality care and support to individuals with complex needs at our fantastic Day Service based in Harborne?

In this role, you will assist people throughout their day, including their journey to and from the service, ensuring they receive the support they need to live their lives to the fullest.

Hours: 37.5 per week

Shift: Monday - Friday (Rota)

Pay: £12.71 per hour

Working at Focus Birmingham

Focus Birmingham is an independent local charity that provides information, advice, support and care for people with visual impairment and complex needs. As a member of our staff team of knowledgeable and caring experts, we will help you continue to develop your skills, and provide you with the satisfaction of undertaking challenging and vital work that makes positive changes to the lives of the people we support.

Our charity HQ is based in Harborne, Birmingham. On-site we have a Low Vision Centre providing a comprehensive range of services enabling people to use their vision. From here we also run a programme of sight loss support services and multiple city-wide community engagement projects and activities. The site also hosts our Complex Needs Support Day Service which supports over 95 service users with profound and multiple learning disabilities.  We also have a CQC registered supported living scheme in Kings Norton, Birmingham, consisting of 14 self-contained specially adapted living spaces for individuals with sight loss and complex needs.

    The Board of Trustees have ultimate responsibility for directing the affairs of Focus Birmingham, and ensuring that it is solvent, well-run, and delivering the charitable outcomes for which it has been set up. The board is responsible for the legal and strategic direction of the charity and formally accounts for its actions in annual reports to both the Charity Commission and Companies House.
